My Story
My name is Sara Camarinha Pedras and I'm a Remedial Massage Therapist and a Mindfulness Meditation Teacher. I graduated from North Metropolitan Tafe, with an Excellence in Theory award for being the best student and got a job as a Remedial Massage Therapist at a Physiotherapy Clinic a week after I graduated, where I stayed for 2 years. After that, I worked for just over a year in a massage clinic in Joondalup, before I opened my own business in Morley.
I'm passionate about Human Anatomy, Movement, Fascia and my favourite techniques to treat patients are Trigger Point Therapy and Myofascial Release, as I realised by experience, are the most effective ones.
Just before I completed my diploma in Remedial Massage, I realised how body and mind are intrinsically connected and the importance of being able to work not only on the physical body but also the mind, to achieve greater wellbeing and enhance the benefits of massage. I then took on a six-month Meditation Facilitator Course.
I'm also qualified to use Dry Needling, Myofascial Cupping and Remedial Hot Stones in my treatments.
I love my job; I believes I'm in the right path and that massage is my vocation. There’s nothing more rewarding to me than to help people get rid of pain, reduce their pain medication, improve their movement and general well-being.
When I'm not at work, I like to do yoga, weight training on the gym, stand up paddle board and going for walks in nature.
I'm looking forward to meeting and reaching as much people as possible and share with them the benefits of massage and the power of touch and mindfulness meditation.

My Approach
Remedial Massage has been growing in popularity in the last few years in the western countries, although it's a natural therapy used for around 5,000 years.
One can learn all the different massage techniques but learning palpation skills it's not for everyone. Some people have it more than others, luckily, I was gifted with a high sense of touch, together with what I learnt and gained from discovering and practicing Mindfulness Meditation, is what makes my treatments so unique and special. When I'm treating, I'm fully present and grounded, I'm connected to what I'm feeling at the tip of my fingers, I'm connected to the soft tissue I'm feeling as it unwinds beneath my hands, and I'm connected to how my patients body responds to the treatment.
My treatments are unique and tailored to each individual. So, no two sessions are or feel the same.
However, they all have the same goal: to restore balance, reduce pain, improve range of motion and wellbeing and most importantly, to help you self-regulate your nervous system.
During my treatments I aim to release any triggers points and/or fascia adhesions that are causing pain or restricted movement, restore the natural alignment of the soft tissue and activate your parasympathetic system, so you can feel your conscious true self at the end of our session.
It is normal to experience emotional release during a myofascial release session, as body and mind are connected. I will always do my best to assist you and the promise I am there for you and with you at all times.
